Wristwood: Eco-Friendly Watches Made from Reclaimed Hardwood
Anyone who regularly works with wood knows that it is an incredibly beautiful, versatile, and rewarding material. It is strong, pliable, lightweight, and durable, and the range of hues make it a great choice for a variety of applications. Properly treated and finished, wood can last a lifetime and beyond. Each piece of wood also has its own story, often dating back hundreds or even thousands of years.
I have been working with wood for my entire life, starting in my grandfather's workshop as a young boy. He taught me how to cut out the template for a simple toast rack, which I then polished and varnished. That toast rack is still in use today, some 30 years later. This sparked a lifelong passion for woodworking, leading to numerous projects such as handmade furniture and toys, and even a hand-built log cabin.
In 2015, I decided to combine my love of wood with another passion of mine, horology, or the study of clocks and watches. I set a goal to create a truly unique and individual timepiece using entirely recycled materials. Three years later, I am proud to say that I not only achieved that goal, but exceeded it.
Wristwood now offers a range of eco-friendly watches made from reclaimed hardwood. These watches are the result of three years of refinement, selecting the best materials, and developing a unique, artisan product that we believe you will love as much as we do.
We are passionate about providing you with a timepiece of excellence that you will be proud to use and wear. The uniqueness and artistry of the material will undoubtedly make it a conversation starter, unlike anything else you have encountered.
We hope you will join us on the "Wristwood Revolution" and enjoy this beautiful, natural, and eco-friendly product for many years to come.
